The title of the book already gave it away. Luckily, I love detective stories. The review made it more interesting, and with the great work that went into the writing: plot, editing and all - I don't mind reading it.

Reading the free sample on Amazon of The Raven Conspiracy by Michael Spratt has fueled my desire to want to read the entire book because it seems to have exciting characters with weird personalities, is packed with crime and action, has detective stories, and has plenty of humour. Congrats on BOTD! It is an interesting book.

Congrats on BOTD. The town of Crescent Beach and the RC restaurant seem to hold many secrets than just a terrorist conspiracy.

The book starts off with JP, deputy sheriff, encountering an attractive ice cream vendor while taking his dogs for a walk. The bantering between the two illustrates JP's relationship with the people in his jurisdiction and how well he fits into the community.

Three FBI agents arrive, with the objective of finding a "terrorist" who has been causing havoc. JP gets assigned to assist the agents. The encounter with their first suspect turns out vastly different to their expectations.

Thank you for a great review.

That's one unusual cast of characters! And I think focusing on the day-to-day mundane aspects of detective lives, while not as thrilling, is quite original. Good review!

Good review. The book has an enthusiastic plot, the work of the investigations, detectives, secrets and it seems that its story is interesting, and the style of the novel seems balanced and consistent. A good choice for BOTD

I love great suspense and crime novels, and this one seems like the type that would have me at the edge of my seat from the very first page.

Congrats on BOTD!
The plot of the book is exciting; it involves detective work, secrets, and investigations, and it appears that the story is engaging. The novel's style also seems balanced and consistent. Do these weird characters have any connection to the explosion that occurred, or are they only coincidental?

The sample brought a smile to my face as well as the great review. This seems to be a more off-beat FBI story as it unfolds with secrets and characters in prominence. Sounds like a great read!

I was really interested with this book when I read the review. I hope that the casual lives of the detectives in Crescent Beach will be as exciting as their investigation. Thanks for the review.

This is a very informative review, and after sampling the first chapter I agree with the reviewer's all-star rating for this book. I am a fan of crime fiction too, but I think, unlike the reviewer who expected a more detailed investigation, I will be thrilled to read about the detectives' private lives too. As for the wild goose chasing and information sharing, I agree with the reviewer - it does not sound fair that JP receiving all information from the FBI agents was sending them off on wild goose chases!
