I suspect that without Rowan, Galen would be staying home and forging lovely things out of steel, instead of running around all of Voulhire, buying rocks from Caromentis, and having another eight books written about him.

I also like Rowan. I like how funny and laid-back he is, but I think there is still a lot more to his character than we know. For instance, why does he stick around with Galen after he finished his duties toward him.
