So timely... and terrifying. There was a time when dystopian novels were an escape but now they hit a bit too close to home. Thanks for the review!

I love the metaphors and smilies embedded in the author's style. Wonderful story.

Sounds very good. Just like Tanzania today. Full of doubts and fear one can hardly bear. Good review.

This novel seems like an accurately scary prediction. And I think that's why it's so important to read books like this one and expand our won worldview and criteria. I liked very much your analysis of the language, as well as what would be coherent for a brainwashed person to say.
An amazing, critical review, thank you!

Phew! I felt uneasily glued to my seat while reading and visualising all the scenarios through your vivid descriptions of the piece. It seems like it is as mindboggling as could be, although it doesn't seem to be too far away from current reality which makes it even scarier. Thank you for your honest and comprehensive review.

By the way, I like your new photo. You've made me think about changing my current, too. Cheers.

It is pretty disturbing, for all those reasons! Thanks for your comment and for the feedback on the photo.

Dystopian novels can paint a very grim and scary future. Add brainwashing, totalitarian control and a master crafter who can cleverly move the focus from despondency, you have a winner. This book sounds like one.
Thanks for the detailed and insightful review!
