I don't mind end-of-the-world stories or the grim tone of this one, but the unanswered questions would definitely leave me frustrated. I think I'd hold off to see whether the author comes through with a sequel. Thanks for this review!
The unanswered questions aren't too disturbing, but he was hinting at a sequel with the ending. I guess we will see. Thanks!

I haven't read many post-apocalyptic novels. Since this captured my interest and I like it when the author leaves some things to the imagination of the reader, I'm hoping to give it a try. Thanks for your review.

This would probably be a fairly good one to start with as long as you don't mind some violence. Thanks for commenting.

I believe this is the second audiobook review I read here. The first was for Strong Heart.

While I do not think I will survive the "Strong Heart" audiobook (I'm not a native English speaker, and the narrator's accent may be overwhelming for me), I am open to listening to this one.

I wonder what happened to all the missing people. What now for our leading man?

The author is quite easy to understand in this one. I don't think you'd have a problem in that instance. The one accent that he does is a bit of a southern accent, but I think it'd still be quite understandable. Thanks!

I understand your comments about the voices used for audiobooks. I listened to one where they switched readers every few chapters - very irritating! It does "sound" like an interesting book. Thanks for a great review!

I feel like I want to read every single book you review. I LOVE end-of-the-world books. When a post-apocalyptic story is done right, it's just my favourite thing to read. I am going on a trip next month (which happens to be a 10-hour drive), and I'll keep this one in mind :)

Not once have i ever fancied audio books, but this sure has something going on. Your review was impeccable and thanks to it I might just settle down and go through this one with friends over the weekend.

Thanks! I've listened to a few audio books here and there (they are great for car trips.) This one is very well-done. Love the narrator. Hope you enjoy.
