Is this your first time reading Lord of the Rings? I’m jealous if it is. I would love to be reading it again for the first time.
I would definitely take a fantasy break after you finish reading it though!

JR, please, please make a plan and read this book. And then let me know if my fangirl was all wrong or all right.
Thank you for the comments! I'll wait to hear your thoughts :) x

I've read books like that before; you are so sad that they are coming to an end. Thanks for the great review. The cover is definitely interesting and makes me want to read the book even more.
It's so funny, a hangover for me is DEFINITELY worth avoiding. But a book hangover is a HUGE recommendation. Kandscreeley, if you do decide to read this, please let me know what you think... I really did love it.

Well, I'm not surprised.
Enjoy what you have left. If you're a fantasy buff, it will be your favourite book forever. Probably.

Paiges-reads wrote: 29 Jun 2018, 07:21 A book hangover?? Oh, I have such a love hate relationship with them! Love the book hate the hangover, but I have to say, that definitely is a review that has me interested! The time line being only five days, I can just imagine how quick paced and action packed it is. I love fantasy and adventure, so this is being put on the top of my "too read" list!
It is super action packed! I hope you do get to read it, and if you do, please share your thoughts. Would love to hear them :)

Adamabir wrote: 29 Jun 2018, 11:51 No doubt this book is a high fantasy novel! I'm a big fan of Lord of the Rings series! Mentioning the elves brings back the hype of reading these kind of genre. With zombies and vampires, it will be truly an amazing read.
Absolutely. Funnily enough, when I heard it had zombies and vampires, I was a little turned off. For me, that kind of made it a little too much. But these 'zombies' and 'vampires' were not the conventional sort at all! They fit so well into this world.

Your review has basically sold me on this book. I’m adding this one to my want to read list! As an avid fan of fantasy, this sounds like a great book. I’m also no stranger people dying. After all, I did read Game of Thrones!

Funnily enough, there are loads of LOTR references in this book. One of my favourites: " ‘Not more of that Lord of the Rings bull***t,’ Cam said, sitting up. ‘If we’re going to die, let’s try and do it with a bit of class...' "
Thanks for the comments! If you do read it, let me know what you think :)

I'm a huge fan of the Lorien Legacy series. But if I'm going to compare, Immortals' Requiem was VIOLENT. Definitely the R-rated version :)
Please let me know if you do decide to read it and what you think!

I will take your recommendation and give this book a read! The imagery example you gave is absolutely beautiful as well. I love when authors make the effort to really paint the world for you. Wonderful review!
