I do understand that we have different perspectives and preferences, and it's good to note that this book has reached high ratings in the Amazon bookseller charts as of my checking a while ago. I also agree that a story with great potential and meant to be part of a series (such as what you've mentioned this book to be) could indeed benefit much from an additional round of editing and proofreading. Wow...a well detailed review....I love fiction and the fact that it brings around different cultures in action makes it fascinating...the unending conclusion makes me stay off it abit coz I love something that gives me a full stop.The flow is awesome

The plot sounds interesting - usually religion is not the main focus of historical fiction works so this sounds unique.

I really hope that if the series continues the editing improves; your review made it sound like the errors made it hard to for you to fully immerse yourself in the book and I would probably have a similar experience.

I like that the author added maps to let readers know where the messengers were throughout the book. I don't usually enjoy reading about gods or other mythical creatures, so I will have to give this one a pass. Thanks for the informative review.

This book sounds interesting. It doesn’t sound like the type of book I would usually read. But the idea behind it is still intriguing. It’s too bad that it has hard to understand concepts and also doesn’t really end. I don’t like when book don’t have a resolution. Thanks for your review.

I thought this was a Chinese myth because of, well, white snake. They alway have many stories about it too. But anyway, I like the idea of this book. I am curious too on how and where the story will go. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
