I've been burned out from young adult fiction, but if this book is as good as promised, I'll pick it up.

A fantastic book. You make me want to read this book and the entire series. Thanks for your wonderful and insightful review. I am not a YA fan, but it is great to have choices like this one.

Seems to have an interesting spin-off in the development of the read. The idea of the protagonist getting to know that the father she though is not her real father must have scared her or shocked her to the core. The idea of fitting-in into a new family must have keep her in a awkward position but based on her character I think she'll be all right. Sounds like a turning read. Thank you for your review!

YA usually means an easy read to me. Sometimes I need an interesting and not overly difficult read. If there's a strong female character and a dysfunctional family, that's a bonus. Thanks for your review, I look forward to the read. It sounds good.

People we have or meet in our lives could be a blessing or part of our learning. It's interesting to know how the strong-willed protagonist in this piece goes on her journey with her own share of the lot, especially her family.

Thank you for your insightful review.

Interesting review! I have read the sample copy, and to my amazement I think the name "Wilder" suits the character, she was a tomboy in her own rights. But it was shocking when she find out that her father was just her stepfather. I felt sad for her, and curious to know more about her real father and his "Hillibilly" mountain family. Your review did invite me to read the entire book.

I love the cover art! And it's cool to have a story with a female lead and plenty of secrets. I would have never known that it was a spin off of a different series. Nice review!

ValBookReviews wrote: 23 Jul 2018, 13:25 Well, it certainly begs the question; do birds of a feather really flock together? With that, it seems to be an interesting read for those who enjoy unraveling family secrets, deceit, love and then some. Minus spoiler alerts. Best wishes to the author on the #BOTD 🌿
Ha! Ha! That is what I thought and you wrote it! Wilder's real dad's name is Hawk. I wonder what the other family members' names will be?

Although I don’t typically care for YA novels, “Wilder” sounds like its characters and plot are more in depth than those typically found in the genre. I’m curious to know more about the twist of fantasy the author includes in the story. Since this can be read as a stand-alone, I’ll have to give it a go!

I think I can guess what the supernatural twist is here, but I guess I would have to read the book to know for sure. If it warrants 4 stars despite the errors, it must be good!

You're review really gives the flavor of the book without revealing too much. I am looking forward to reading this book because it seems refreshing and you mentioned that in your review which is fantastic. I am always looking for good YA fantasy and the market is very saturated. Hopefully this one meets the mark and big plus is it is free so yay!

I don't read a lot of Young Adult, but one positive that this review pointed out for me is that, even though the book is a spin-off of another series, it isn't necessary to have read that series first.

Excellent review! You gave enough information about the story to interest me in reading it without giving anything away. I, too, am a big fan of young adult fiction. I'm excited to read this!
