You had me until you mentioned this was a spin-off. While it may be possible to read this on its own, I always hate getting the feeling I'm missing something! This sounds fantastic so I'll still keep this in mind, but I'll probably take a look at the original Dreughan series first! Thanks for the review.

I was debating reading this novel but this review definitely pushed me towards reading it. I'm typically hesitant about fantasy as it is often over done or poorly done. However this review convinced me that will not be the case with this book.

Thanks for the review. I agree that the Wilder character is definitely well-developed, strong and independent. Thanks for explaining how Mac and Mickey intertwine with Wilder.

Wilder seems to be a thoroughly enjoyable novel with a fresh plot and well-developed characters. The fact that you gave it a perfect 4 rating despite minor editing hiccups, lends emphasis to the author's story-telling prowess. However, I did catch one error in your review as well :P.
(Of the people she meets is Mac. It should be "One of the people she meets is Mac."
They’re interactions from there forward are quite enjoyable. It should be "Their interactions".)
Thanks for the review!

Thanks for the review! You said that it can be read without reading the first series. I have heard from people who have read the original series first, that you can understand it better with reading the original series first. I'm curious to hear what you think after you read the original series!

Wilder sounds like an interesting girl. I'm curious about some of the dangerous situations she ends up in.

Sometimes we fight for good reasons. Fighting back to keep family and friends as well as the world safe from destruction is laudable but not an easy journey. This is a book I must read. Thanks for the review.

'Official Review: Wilder by Lena North', is a light one! The story has been discussed enough for the readers, to draw a conclusion about it and thus making the readers read the book, with full interest!

I like that this book sounds like it has a strong female main character in Wilder. I get tired of the old fall-for-the-overly-good-looking-guy-damsel-in-distress trope that is even today a mainstay of these kinds of books. I am concerned with the repetition and the missing words, etc. I read a lot of books, and I have become very picky about what I read for fun. I like them to be very well edited.

I was worried about downloading this book as it sounded like a generic novel with mediocre writing based on the vague synopsis given, however, your review of it has definitely changed my mind! Your insight is very descriptive and persuasive. I can't wait to read this book myself now.

I appreciate the narrative, which is mostly clear. However, North’s character was definitely over-explained in the first few chapters. Wilder's character is impeccable though. I would surely recommend this book to my friends.

Good review. I can't wait to sit down with this one. I want to know if she gets Mac or not? Also does she get a good relationship with her dad?
