[rbc=4]id217863-125[/rbc]Temptation Trials: Part II by B.Truly is a lovely book that keeps you engrossed till the end. The author has done an excellent job of springing surprises when you least expect them. I recommend reading the first part before reading this book.

I chose to read this book because the title suggested a romance genre. How wrong I was! This book has very less romance, but it will keep you hooked till the end. If you are looking for a steamy, hot, erotic, Mills and Boon type novel, you will be disappointed. This book has very rare scenes of love making yet the plot more than makes up for it despite the misleading title.

This is the second book that i read on the paranormal events especially one from a western country. The concept of sin in Abrahamic Religions is quite different from that of the Eastern Cultures, so I did feel a bit skeptic or shall I say, culture shock? Whatever it is the story line was genuine and was paced well. No culture approves depravity and so I could connect with the protagonist's views on depraved and pervert behavior as described in "the riot at the cafe". This scene reflects how perverse humans can be if they are free from all moral constraints. The point is presented well by the author.

One more aspect that I found interesting is the idea of seven sins. Though I do not know exactly what those seven sins are, I can relate to them. This is because I have been told since childhood to avoid the seven sins of lust, women, alcohol, gambling, etc. I believe each religion has its own mores that have not been deciphered properly. I agree with what Father Hymen says in this book, that the Scriptures contain messages that need to be understood properly or else they get twisted for selfish gains. This is what is happening in the world today and is the root cause for extremist terror like ISIS, Al Qaida etc. I liked this point.

Another aspect that this book brings out beautifully is the mental conflict that people; whether they be men or women; have to go through after what they fell is betrayal. Cheating on the one you love leaves a scar that is not easy to heal. The protagonists, Kincade, Cali, Stefani, Tobias struggle to come to terms with their relationship after a DRD induced passions, is described vividly. I liked this presentation of the internal conflict.

I would rate this book 4 out of 4 stars since the book kept me engrossed from the beginning till the end. this book definitely raised my curiosity about the first part. So I will try to read that if I can. I recommend reading this book.
