I recently watched the teen movie Firebreather. The plot for this book seems to go somewhere along those lines. For a plot and set of concepts that seem to find themselves into most teen movies and books, they never seem to lose appeal, either with teens, or with adults. Isn't that surprising?
This was a great review, by the way! Im definitely piqued enough to read the book. As a side note, your Dr. Suess quote is quite a thought-provoker.

Thank you for your review. I definitely would like to read. I wonder if it's 11year old appropriate to read with my kids.

Teenagers in another place may have different views and ideas but Iโ€™m certain everywhere they are still idealistic and unable to take responsibility for who they are. Lara sounds like a perfect example of this!
Yes it was very believable which made it easier for me to engage.

Thanks for reading!

Hehe, I work as an editor and my favorite phrase to authors is โ€œcut it down!โ€

This book sounds like a fantasy overload which is good for those who seek fantasy adventure.
You know, I never made that connection while reading since Lara isnโ€™t much of a badass yet. However, I would love to see a little Daenerys emerge in the next book!

A shape-shifting dragon? I'd love to read how the author made that work so well in the story. This is a great review, you've definitely piqued my interest.
