Yes! I came to this review expecting steamy details! The cover certainly seems misleading from your review.kandscreeley wrote: ↑20 Feb 2018, 18:37
Which brings me to my only recommendation for improvement - the cover. I passed over this book several times because the cover gave me the wrong impression about the book.

It's possible I suppose, but to me it's not a smart idea. Those who expect the sordid details will be disappointed. Those who don't want those details won't even consider this. So it seems lose lose. It would make a good movie though.Vickie Noel wrote: ↑22 Feb 2018, 17:42 This one has the markings of a future movie! I can picture it on the big screen and while I'm not big on science fiction novels, Haunted Robots is appealing enough for me to give it a try. The cover does give a totally different concept to the eye, do you think it might have been deliberate, perhaps to draw up more attention or questions?

I surely think this could be my cup of tea. And, a 4-star review is something else altogether. Thank you for keeping us posted!kandscreeley wrote: ↑20 Feb 2018, 18:37 [Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Haunted Robots" by James Warner and Ronald Joseph Kule. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is developing robots for military use. Dr. Oren Stanson is the program director with Brigadier-General Roger Rogers liaising with the military. The two don't always see eye to eye, though, as Dr. Stanson sees far more uses for these robots than just fighting. Unexpectedly, Dr. Stanson finds his consciousness floating away; his body has been murdered. His soul procures one of the very robots they have been developing. Why was Dr. Stanson murdered? Who was behind it? What will happen with him now that he is inhabiting a new robot body?

I know and it's such a shame because it's so much more.freakkshowx wrote: ↑23 Feb 2018, 15:46 This review definitely piqued *my* interest about this book, fantastic job! I agree with you about the cover, though; if I had seen it in a store, I would assume it was just another poorly-done beach read.

Shell is a great way to put it! ThanksMsTri wrote: ↑23 Feb 2018, 13:33 I adore stories where robots play a prominent role, so the idea of a person winding up in a robot's shell (?) sounds wondrous! You're right about the cover, too, though it probably wouldn't have turned me away, me being the person I am. In any event, thanks for the great introduction!

I think you might like this one then. Thanks for the comment!Kat Berg wrote: ↑22 Feb 2018, 23:26 I would have passed this book for the same reason you mentioned: the cover. But this actually sounds like something I would really enjoy! I am a huge Asimov fan (almost all old school sci-fi, actually!) and this sounds like the kind of book I am just beginning to see, old school meets something more up-to-date. The added mystery aspect brings in a little cross-over genre that I appreciate.
