Rynar thought her life couldn’t get any better, she had a great job, a fiance, and the shame of her family’s mistakes are finally behind her. However, Rynar’s perfect life quickly comes crumbling down, now her planet is dying and her people are scattered across the galaxy or dead. While her fiance is on the opposite side of the fight for the only thing which can save her home. Now she has to work together with four people from earth, each from a different time in their world. Can they put their differences aside long enough to fulfill the prophecy they were meant too, or will the galaxy be lost?

When I first chose this book to read, I was a little concerned that I would have trouble enjoying it. That, however, was not the case. Even though this book was not something I would normally read, it still had me hanging from every word. McNulty did an outstanding job of building up her character's development throughout the story.

There are six main characters that the story focuses on. The first is Rynar, who takes on a leader like role. Rynar is headstrong, resourceful, stubborn, caring, and so much more. (All though it takes some time for all of these sides to be shown.) Rynar is willing to do anything to save her people, but even though at first the only reason she was working with these strangers was to save her world. She gains something unexpected along the way. The next character to join the quest to save Rynar’s world is Solaris, Solaris is the spacecraft that brings Rynar and the others to the worlds they are needed at. Solaris is sarcastic, stubborn, (like her owner) caring, loving, encouraging, and in some cases motherly. She helps each of her passengers with the problems that each of them faces.

The person to get pulled into this adventure next is a nineteen-year-old boy who goes by the name of Solon. Solon although unfamiliar with a lot of the things going on around him, quickly takes on the role of a researcher. His cool-headed nature, and ability to look at every problem he comes across with a calmness that allows him to solve even the more unconventional ones, is what makes him an important part of the team. Following him comes along Alfric, a male adult Viking that is strongwilled and honorable. Alfric protects the strangers that he has been placed with, through all the odds. He teaches each of them the ways to care for themselves and those around them.

Next is a young sixteen-year-old girl named Brie Reynold’s, Brie is very cowardly at the start, but she begins to grow throughout the story. She learns that sometimes you have to push back your fear, to protect what is most important to you. While learning how to do this herself, she also teaches the others that sometimes the best solution is to take a loving approach instead of one of force. The final character to be introduced is Tom Sanderson, Tom is twenty-years-old. He takes the situation he has unexpectedly been put in, with excitement, wonderment, and curiosity. Tom takes the role of the tech guy in some cases, but also he puts himself in place to be the one that the others go to when they have a more personal problem.

This book overall was a very enjoyable experience. The storyline is fairly easy to understand, it keeps you guessing to what might happen next. This book would be most enjoyable for those in the aged approximately 10 to 15, it is marked for young adults. This story gives those that read it a look at some lessons that one can learn and use in everyday life. The Author did an amazing job of switching the point of view from each character in a way that was easy to understand and enjoyable.

There were a few grammar issues, but they are sparse and far in between. There were points in the book where it felt like that story was moving so fast, there were a few parts of the story that I would have liked to be more in-depth than what they were. The Author did an amazing job of switching the point of view from each character in a way that was easy to understand and enjoyable.

It is for these reasons that I rate Solaris Seethes with 3 out of 4 stars. I enjoyed this book immensely and cannot wait to read the next, I recommend this book for an enjoyable and easy read, but there are still some parts that I think could be improved on.

Isn't it great when we take a chance and read something we wouldn't normally read and enjoy it? What you say about Brie rings very true to me.

There were more than a few that I would have liked more descriptions behind. It would have really made the story a true sci-fi/fantasy.
