From the very detailed review the book seems to be a good beginning for a fantasy series. I liked the plotline and the intertextual references. Thank you!

Adventure, prophecy, destiny, fate, warring factions, human like creatures, magic. I would say a very interesting combination and how magic would be used to end the war and bring forth piece by the one prophecised of. Thanks for the description I would start devouring my copy. Thanks BOTD

Wow, what a wide swath of characters this fantasy novel seems to have. From a man who can patch up people after death to another girl missing limbs with incredible powers this one seems to have it all.

I'm a bit discouraged by ''an exciting 400 page novel''. If the author truly managed to keep the reader's attention in such a long novel, he must be talented. I'm not a big fan of science fiction, so I'll skip this one, but I like the author's creativity when it comes to his characters' names. I like them all, especially Zefa and Var. Lovely review!

Typically, I'm picky with fantasy books but this review and the sample convinced me to want to finish the book.

I checked the table of contents. That's right, there are none and the entire book's story is under table of contents in the kindle version. Maybe it's just a formatting error.

Sounds like an exciting tale - An old man magically patches a young girl back to life? Then, the young girl is prophesied that she will one day restore peace within two warring factions? I love when young children characters stay sweet and innocent throughout a read. It's also great to know this book had "unending excitement" and that the author was able to give such great visualization throughout. Too bad about the errors here, but I'm glad you enjoyed the book regardless! I'm not a fan of much fighting and gory scenes, so I think I'll pass, but thank you for sharing!

Thanks for the review. When I read fantasy fiction the novel tends to focus on the main character that is "the one" of some kind. As you suggest, the Patch Man has multiple exciting characters that work together so i might just purchase this book.

This sounds similar to Star Wars. Instead of Imperial Fighters, there are Imperial Flyers. I'll research it some more before deciding. Thanks for the review.

I'm intrigued by the character, Var also known as the Patch Man, who uses magic to patch a young girl back to life. I want to read this book to know more. Thanks for the review.

The flow of this Patch Man's story really sounds appealing. It's like an epic story to me. The review of this book is written very good that I like to read it as well. It's good to know as well that the book has minimal errors. Looking forward to reading this one.

I enjoy stories with magic and adventure although I'm always worried when there are a lot of characters to be keep track of. So far after reading the first chapter it sounds like an interesting book. Thanks for the review.

Such magical healing power, such benign heart, Var surely has places to go, especially as he has to hide from the mystic assassin sent after him. This novel is so appealing, the storyline could drag you along hands down. The book could stick to your hand sans any glue. Thank you for the nice review.

I appreciate your thorough review and the warnings about content. This book has an interesting premise and characters, but I’m not a huge fan of gore and adult situations.

This looks too science fiction/fantasy for my tastes, but still looks like a great book for what it is.

While the title and first few pages of the sample did not grab me, as soon I became aware that the patches used had magical powers my interest was heightened. Even the introduction of the young girl, to whom is demonstrated Var’s kindness and selflessness, added an extra layer to the original ‘patches for sale’ unassuming nature of the book. After the first few chapters I can say without doubt that I agree with your summation, that the book is one of excellent fantasy action and mystery, and I look forward to continuing the amazing adventure.
While I also noted the capital used for ‘Faith’, the character does refer to ‘the Faith’, so the capital is appropriate as it is not merely a reference to personal faith.
Good review, particularly your character descriptions.
