This sounds like a great book for readers to understand young people with special needs. But also a novel for those with special needs to feel like they have something to identify with and that they are not alone. Thank you for your review.

You are right on both counts! Thanks for the insightful comment.

Wow I love that this book uses the sci-fi premise to discuss special needs in children/young adults. A very cool way to include a complex topic.

It really is an interesting way to approach the topic. Very unique of the author!

Whilst this book sounds nice the fact that it more centers on children with disabilities in a unique situation more than the science fiction aspect means that this is a pass for me. From what you have described it seems like a nice book to recommend to persons who like to read about people with disabilities overcoming their limitations.

Although i am curious as the the reader will have to cope with the fact that plot seems a little entangled and the main protagonist is overly dramatic.

Aliens and stuff sounds interesting, but it doesn't feel like my kind of book. Thank you for the review.

It's still a nice book, even if you aren't interested in science fiction. However, to each their own. I do understand! Hope you find something you'll enjoy.
