Review by Leyla -- Temptation Trials Part II by B. Truly
Temptation Trials pt 2 is written in the year 2036, a time when the world was being run by Lutheran Eminence. His Highest possesses the power to decide on arranged marriages. Clubbing and protesting were not allowed. Freedom was a word long forgotten. The reader should read Part I to have a better understanding of the book.
Temptation Trials pt 2 is a sci-fi/fantasy book which touches on the themes murder, love, betrayal and friendship. Every chapter brought across different emotions. I found myself crying, cringing in fear, smiling and laughing. The story is written in first person by Stephani and Cali. The plot builds quickly from the beginning and builds steadily towards the middle and slows down at the end. Every sentence read was interesting and filled with suspense and drama.
A blue fog covers the land from time to time, releasing the 1st of 7 sins; lust. Season 6 of Temptation Trials is being hosted by His Eminence. There is more to His Eminence than what meets the eye. He has control over peoples lives and decisions, but only to benefit himself.
Stephani, Tobias, Cali and Cade fight for their relationship by putting their relationship to test by participating in the trials. But entering the trials has created a love quadrangle. With lust being released, will these couples conquer the trials or will they choose the persons chosen by His Eminence.
The couples while fighting for their relationships, uncover the secret of the Regime. They then find themselves not only fighting to keep their relationships, but also fighting for the freewill of the world, a fight between good and evil.
They join up with the Temp men Dom and Zion in the fight for freedom. A hard task for all parties involved. They must put their feelings aside for the sake of humanity and the greater good.
The book seemed professionally edited as I only came across two errors. The writing style was very good releasing several emotions. I cried, I smiled, at times I became fearful. The book had me glued from beginning to end. Reading pt 1 did give me a better understanding of the events that took place in pt 2. The cover of the book fits the title and complements the story. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars for mature audience only.
