Christina, your review was delightful! Having finally read this book, I now know what everyone is talking about!

I would categorize myself as a fantasy reader before any other genre, and I was both sad and glad to find many other books represented in this one. I found myself looking for a bit more originality out of Rose. I am understandably late to the game on this book's discussion but I created a forum topic to discuss the ideas in this book that mirror those in other books.

Thanks for the review! I love well-developed characters for my plot-- and the more background information, the better! Makes the character come to life and I invest myself more as a reader! Great review!

The book sounds great thanks for the review. I am also aiming at reading this one. Too bad for the errors. I hope I can easily blend into the thoughts of the author, especially in the beginning.

Sounds like an interesting read. Looking forward to finding out how Leaf manages to survive the duel, as well as later difficulties, without magic!
