The Carbynarah Chronicles is a long read, full of magic spells, gladiator and powerful warrior. I won't mind the spelling errors when the book has shifting viewpoints.

This has all the hallmarks of a great fantasy series. I love great characters and roller coaster story lines.

But as I am intrigued by the ending that rendered you speechless, I will keep this book on my to-read list (that's getting too long).

Quite a riveting review, kislany! I think I'm already in love with Yron and can't wait to check out the activities of those scheming ladies, Brelyah and Sartura. But 600pages? That sounds tough. And those funny names would make me bite my mind's tongue, lol. Thanks for the review.

Kudos for your review! The length does not bother me. I read Stephen King. I do like this kind of story. For me, it is overload with characters. There a few authors who have the rare talent of pulling that off.

For me, I would have preferred a map. I like maps that show families, lands, etc for it helps me learn better. Most importantly, it deepened my bond with the book.

I agree that a map would've been helpful for readers, to get a feel of where the action is occurring and such. I enjoyed the sample and I'm interested in reading The Carbynarah Chronicles. I have a feeling I'll like Yron a lot too! Thanks for the review!

Based on the review this book sounds like it could be interesting, but based on the free sample I did not enjoy this book. The “key” at the beginning was to long and there was no good hook in the first line.

I read this book a bit, and I have to say that despite the errors, it is quite intriguing. I also love your review.

I love epic fantasy, especially ones with political turmoil such as warring kingdoms. Yron sounds like a particularly compelling character, based on your description. I'll have to remember this book, but at 600 pages, it's a little long to read with my current schedule. Thank you for the thorough and honest review.

"Epic" seems to be an apt descriptor. This sounds complex and interesting. I definitely agree with the reviewer that this is exactly the sort of book that needs a map.

I was waiting to read your review before I made the decision to buy this or not. After reading what you have to say, I'm in! I like the sound of how it's written and the focus on the characters. While the grammatical errors will probably be mildly distracting, I'm hoping the story will make up for it. Hopefully, the author will invest in a good proofreading service after getting feedback from Online Book Club.

Thanks for your insightful review!

I am beginning to think that our reading preferences in the epic Fantasy genre are similar :) It is one of my very favorite comfort reads. I just want the author to fix the mistakes first, before I read! Thanks for the review. :evil2: :roll2: :lol2:

At over 600 pages, The Carbynarah Chronicles is quite a long read. The writing itself is easy to follow; however, I found several spelling and grammatical mistakes that gave me pause.
Sure, the length is something to think about. Otherwise, the themes are fine.
