It's not really an easy accomplishment to write a book that doesn't really fit in a specific category but isn't a mess either. I love fantasy books, which seems to be the leading category, so I'm curious to read it. Your enthusiastic review helped my decision, so thank you!

I really liked the fact that though the author was going for the silly a lot of the time, he did not skimp on the quality of his writing to do so. He still made the book into a very entertaining fantasy tale when all was said and done. Combining the action and comedy was done just about as good as Mr. Hardison could have with the plot and characters that he created. Besides, how can you go wrong with the Fellowship of the Pudding?

I loved this book too. The best satire of the fantasy genre I've found. Reminds me of some movies and songs I've come across that do a great job if showing love to a story while making fun of it at the same time. I hope he picks another genre or another type of fantasy to do a satire for. I would read it.
