I prefer stories that I can follow from the beginning. I still have a hard time following stories with a destroyed perspective.

I really like the idea of showing the different sides of humanity from group to group. That is probably just what would happen. Reading this one.

This genre is an interest of mine, and I like how it has different stories. I may try this despite it not having a strong plot. A good review :)

Post-apocalyptic novels are quite many and varied. I think I may want to explore this one, even though as you pointed out it lacks an overarching story. Thanks for the informative review.

This book sounds amazing! While I totally understand why certain things turned you off from this book, I love vague storylines and complex plot structures (so long as the writing is good, of course), and I love post-apocalyptic work. Add to the cool plot an equally cool title and an AWESOME book cover and I am sold on this read! Great review!

I think I've had my fill of postapocalyptic worlds at the moment, and if it is a bit confusing at times as you say, I'd rather read something worth my time. Thanks for your insights!

It's amusing to know other people's ideas of what the world would be after the Apocalypses occurs. But I do not like being confused when reading a book, so I think I'll pass this one. Thanks for the review!

I think I will like this series.

Thank you for a great review. I think you articulated well on what was, I think, an unpolished thought. I have just finished this book and I am now embarking on the next volume.

A quick add here. I don't believe it was confusing enough to pass up on as a very interesting read.

The next in this series is up for review, so I thought I'd come back to the beginning first. Your well-written review is intriguing and even though you had some misgivings, I think I'm going to go for it, thanks!

A book with an interesting storyline. But sounds like you have to continue reading to get into the story. I'm going to be reading the second book of this series. So, I wanted to get an idea of what happened in book 1 and know whether I missed a lot. So, thanks for the interesting review.

This is an excellent summary of an excellent book.
I've reviewed the book as well, but it seems we don't share the same opinions on its shortcomings.

I completely agree. The build up was unquestionably worth it.

You are absolutely right. Now that you mention it, I don't really know the plot of the story either. I think it is kind of like when they split The Hobbit into 3 movies. The first one was just the introduction. Maybe that is what this book is?
