I didn't care much for this book, but others may. There is vulgar language and actions of the characters. There were some errors but nothing major. The story is set on planet Exodus and there are 7 powerful families. I give the story 1 out of 4.

OOOOO I love the unique twists and wish I'd gotten the chance to review it! It definitely sounds right down my alley, especially with the noir setting!

Very good review...
After reading the excerpt of the book I can clearly see the points you made and has piqued my interest in this book a little more.
This is definitely a book of 1920's style Gangsters living in a modern world, where they are surrounded by family, opulence, violence, influential power and of course magical powers they received from the relics.
Magical gangsters, now there's an original story line!

It speaks to originality of the plot, that I have so many questions. :eusa-think: Where is this planet, why do these families have relics, why are they gangster?...Will read.

A science fiction crime thriller ohh interesting. Gangster family like the 1900's with magic relics. Can't wait to get my hands on the one. Thanks for the lovely review.

Good review. I can see how this book can draw a lot of different people into reading by drawing on different aspects to create the whole; like people who like sci-fi, paranormal, it gangster genres. It's a good concept for that reason and that if he doesn't follow any norms for any particular one, he can't be faulted as the different genres playing against each other gives a lot of leeway for a whole new set of "rules". Pretty smart choice. Even though none of the parts scream "read me" to me, I will check it out for the novelty. Seems like a book the author really can't go wrong with.

The review makes it clear that this is not only a gangster story, but has many other themes, such as magical powers and science fantasy. I read the sample, which made me believe that this should be an interesting novel for those who like science fiction crime thrillers. I don't like crime thrillers much.

The plot is not that unique but setting it in planet Exodus and adding the twist of magical powers to it seems to have done the magic. Your review makes the book sound very intriguing and I would like to give this a read. Thanks for the review.

Gangster is really not my type but I believe I can find a lot action in here so I think I will give it a try. The magic source of power reminded me of "Thor" in which each realm had a source stone of power (I can't remember the exact details but this popped in my mind). Thank you for your review!

Highly original plot, and I don’t think I’ve read a sci-fi crime thriller before! An interesting melding of genres, which seems to have been done well. Nice review!

A gangster with magical powers where they are powerful for anyone to touch them? A family of gangs? It looks interesting to read.

I don't think I'll like this one. I'm not into gangster stories up to the point where I don't even like The Godfather movies. Not sure this one is for me if it's your typical gangster story.

It’s always good when a story can keep you guessing to the very end. The combination of gangsters and magical relics seems original. Thanks for the review!

I have to say, I don't think I've ever seen a book about gangsters with magical powers. I love when a book makes you want to keep reading without putting it down. This really seems like that type of book! Great job on the review!
