There is a great deal of scientific explanation included in parts of the novel. I admit that, for me, this simply caused my eyes to glaze over as I went into a kind of daze. I appreciated the fact that the authors were trying to make this seem plausible (and I know that there are those who will enjoy this), but it didn't add much for me.
I agree with you on this one. For me, Sci-Fi is better watched than read. The complex environments and characters are a bit of a hard read.

Thanks Julius. The good thing is that the instances of scientific detail weren't too numerous.

Nice and helpful review to an issue any biological scientist would love to crack. Sounds like a straightforward plot with no much complexities. The lack of closure is definitely a down. But still a sequel ain't far enough though. Thanks.

Sounds like this one is definitely a read that will get you thinking! I really like the premise behind the story, the idea of living forever can be intriguing for sure!

I'm not much of a fan of overwhelming science, neither cliffhangers, but i like the idea of exploring the idea of living eternally.. seems like an interesting piece. I may try this one, who knows. Thank you for your thoughts though. I always enjoy reading your reviews and the realism you put into it. ;)

It definitely does get you thinking. Who knows... it could be a dilemma we all face one day!

Thank you! I really appreciate that. It is interesting, and there are two more books planned. It will be a while before they come out, though.

Great review. Forever young sounds too good to be true. But anyway, who wants to grow old??

I'd like to give this one a try. I love fantasy and I am a scientist, so I think I'd be one of those who enjoyed a good, thorough explanation of the science.

There is a girl in it, but she's not really the main character per se. Thanks for commenting.

If you read it, let me know what you think. I always love a good second opinion.

Yeah, I agree, I can see the "unique spin [of] the story", it's too bad for that ending but this is a book to have for sure, great review.
