Great review. It's always a bit frustrating when some elements of a book have great potential but are let down by other aspects. I could see myself getting annoyed with the lack of scientific explanation as well.

With any work of fiction, suspension of disbelief is usually necessary. However, if the science really makes me scoff, then I think there is opportunity in improving the writing. thank you for your review

Thanks Izesicle. You are right, suspension of disbelief is necessary. Most of the time I'm pretty good at that, but sometimes it gets a little difficult.

A cruise to the stars would more likely be somethin I dream about then write it as a novel. This might have been the writer's source of content for the book and it does bring out admirable creativity

I think this is one of those situations when you know the book won't be an anazing read just by looking at the cover. Star cruising is quite original, but sadly not enough to make me read it.

Great review! I am also wondering where the air comes from. Could have added something about an oxygen tank and a protective bubble that allows the CO2 to evade escape. A short paragraph outlining the diamond dynamics would have been good.

It's unfortunate that the author doesn't paint a better picture in the book in terms of the scenery and science. Even though the concept of the story is good, the author should have made the book more interesting and realistic.
