Great job on the review! 500 pages is a pretty long book. I don't usually read science fiction so I probably wouldn't have picked this book up initially but the fact that you mentioned that it's not an adventure book, makes me think I might give it a chance.

I appreciate good character development so will check this one out even though the plot is a bit slow. Thanks for the review.

Yeah, was a little skeptical about reading the sample, mainly cos of the genre, and I also have reservations about how long it is, 600+ pages, wow!, anyways I do want to see how a strong headed girl falls for the boy who acts like he despises her.

This is not the type of storyline that I enjoy. Besides, when the plot runs slowly, I tend to get bored. I really appreciate your honest review, though!

I don’t think this one is for me - I’m a little put off by the slow moving plot, but I’m glad you liked this one.

While reading your review I was getting excited thinking I had found a good book to read next. Then you said it was slow moving and little plot, so I changed my mind. Thanks for the great review.

From the review, Roxanne Bland's The Moreva of Astoreth sounds like a well-told tale. However, themes around gods and goddesses hardly hold my attention.

I've read many slow moving, character driven stories but I find to appreciate them, you must be in the proper mood for them. I do like to see characters get their comeuppance when they are feeling "entitled" and spoiled. I with more people in real life were punished in just such a way... kinda like a holy community service! LOL

Great review and thank you for sharing. In sampling the first bit of the book, one wouldn't expect it to move slow but as you mentioned there is a lot of focus on character development that made is slow paced. I am curious about the characters but not sure if this book is for me since it is paced so slow.
