Sounds like an interesting plot with some great themes incorporated. I do not tend to read paranormal stories, but I am pleased this novel is based on earth as that makes this genre more understandable for me. Thanks for the review.

Pheonyx has to face her past to save herself and the rest and that includes using her powers she thought she had kept so safely hidden. Amazing review.

Nice review, thank you! This is a very interesting plot. The character starting out in a normal life and mysteriously finding herself captive is quite intriguing.

Fantasy, mystery, love, secrets, powers, fears...lots of themes to explore in Book1 of "The Bound Ones" series. Thanks for a fun review!

As a fun of fantasy, I can't fail to read this one. I like it that it doesn't involve a lot of sexual scenes. Thanks for this review.

This does sound like an interesting YA read, although I find myself not reading as much of that genre these days. Thanks for your insightful review!

Caloric by Tricia Barr is an urban-fantasy book centered around elementals in life around the edge in a cage. A thriller #romance. A 4 out of 4 stars rating.

I have already pointed out in one of my previous topic replies that there are a lot parallel circumstances. Fate can bring people from different places to the same circumstances and they would have to learn, empathise and share experiences with each other. Such was the case of Phoenyx and the people who shared captivity with him.

Stories where characters overcome fear can be inspiring. The theme of hidden powers is an intriguing one too!
