The alternate realities and realistic characters make for a unique story. However, the slow start and LGBT flavor detract from my enjoyment.

Great review. This book sounds like it is jam packed with everything you’d like in a great read. “thought-provoking tale of crime, romance, betrayal, war, family ties and a yearning for freedom.” add to that the suspense and mystery and alternate realities and it’s very intriguing. Thanks so much for sharing.

The plot about two realities seemed new; and the main character interesting; i would have appreciated more information about her though. A book series is not right up my alley so I will skip on this one.

A thought provoking tale of crime,
romance, war and family ties. This masterfully written piece of work speaks of Herai who tends to exist in two worlds. However, she's sought of killed in one and survived in the other. I guess I'll have to find out which one by reading the whole novel.

Some stories do start off slow but then they pull you in. From the review it seems this book will be like that. It would be interesting to find out what happens to Herai and which world is the ‘better one.’

Thank you for your review =)
I love the simplicity of the cover - but as they say you can't judge.
The inside and the story sounds anything but simple.
To be honest it all sounds too "twisty" for my taste with the daughter and the underground.

Loved the review. The book sounds interesting with the alternate realities. I've never read a book like that before. I like that you can really get to know the characters. Thanks for the review.

I agree with your assessment that the writing and editing are virtually flawless. Like you, I was not immediately invested in the story but become more so as I got further into the online sample. This does indeed seem like a book that will have numerous sequels. I am not a big fan of sequel after sequel but after reading your review I do think that this first book is worth a read. Thank you for your review.

A book about metaphysical, two worlds, where a person can die in one world and be alive in another. You will need all your concentration to get through to the end of the book. Notwithstanding Herai has a unique plot.

Thank you for your superb review. I have often heard that there and more than one realities to this world. This book has captured the essence of this belief. The plot is very interesting and the characters are believable.

I find the two realities a bit confusing. The story doesn't seem like it's my type. But I appreciate the fact that it shows a gay relationship because they need more support.
