The review is spot on; this is definitely a thought provoking book that really requires you to open your mind completely. I read the sample before this review and agree with most of the reviewer's observations. Also, I'm not sure what to make of the illustrations, but I found it cheekily amusing that human beings still exist in the 27th century. Not doomed to extinction after all.

Although your review was not 100% positive, this still sounds like an interesting story with an unusual plot. The illustrations in this type of book used to be very common. The sex scenes, although not everyone's cup of tea, didn't seem to impact your overall enjoyment of the book. Based on this review I am interested in reading this book.

Which side will you be on? The side of the Syndos, genetically-altered humans, or the side of the Naturals. And the time machine? i wish i could use such machines really. i can't wait to read the entire novel.

I've read a sample and it reminded me of my favorite TV show, Travelers. Based on the review I might like the plot and that there are French phrases.

The plot reminds me of one of my favourite games: The Island Castaway. I love the theme very much.

30th Century: Escape has an intriguing premise. This is a book that would make you ask yourself, What If? What if you were in this situation? What if you had to acclimate to such a different era, forward or backward? What if the future is as described? This book sounds very interesting, even with the drawbacks and idiosyncrasies mentioned in the review.

The most interesting aspect to me, from your review, would be in reading how the heroine Hero adjusts to life centuries before her time. Given the way we have advanced in the last century alone and the present curve of increasing total knowledge, that much of a time difference would, I suspect, make us seem like cavemen to her.

I will check this out. Thanks for this.
