The story revolves around a young girl passionate about science, exploration, and particularly detective work. It begins with her losing some of her belongings, and to her surprise, her parents gift her a small kitten named Sooty. Up until this point, everything seems ordinary. The narrative takes a serious turn when a neighbor loses their dog, prompting our young detective, Airlie, to connect the events. Her investigation leads her to the perpetrator, and she promptly informs the police.

Upon discovering Airlie's unique abilities, Officer Humble decides to organize a camp to explore the latent supernatural powers in many individuals around Airlie's age, who receive free invitations. During the experiments, a telepathic connection develops between Sooty and Airlie. As a form of mental activation, Airlie begins to see things before they happen, a coveted ability that anyone would desire, even if only for a few minutes. It allows individuals to know what lies beyond what their eyes perceive.

This newfound skill becomes crucial when Airlie witnesses her friends, Katie and Goldie, being kidnapped. The telepathic link between Sooty and Airlie plays a significant role in unraveling the mysteries and foreseeing events. This ability, intertwined with Airlie's detective instincts, adds a layer of complexity to the narrative and elevates the stakes of the adventure.
"I didn't find many errors in the book; quite the opposite. The author excelled in the progression of events and the addition of characters, making it feel like you're watching a movie. I give it a 5/5.
