I love to read a little scary books and I think with the presence of magic and demon in this story I will definitely get what I want. Good job on the review

Thanks for the review! It's nice to hear of the respect given to women in the novel. I like engaging and exhilarating novels but I am not a fan of the supernatural aspect. I'm going to have to pass on this book. I hope those who read thoroughly enjoy it!

Thank you for such a helpful and thorough review! I now have books 1 & 2 in my Kindle library, however, I am not entirely sure this series is for me. I am not usually a fan of this genre, but being that it is so well-written and professionally edited, I may have to step out of my comfort zone and give it a try! Congratulations, Mr. Firesmith on a great review! :-)

I have a copy of this book, and the first one too. I'm not sure its for me, but I’m giving it a shot. I generally like genres surrounding this one, so I imagine I will like it. I skipped over the parts you warned were spoilers so I can go into book one blind. Thank you for the review, I'm glad you enjoyed the book.

I enjoyed your reviewa great deal. I really try to stay away from demons and hell holes, so this one doesn’t really appeal to me. But you almost changed my mind.

Sounds like a great post-apoc thriller even though the mystical stuff is not my forte. I do like how despite being a sequel, there is still an easy to understand story.

As I have already said in my previous reviews, it is good to read different kinds of books; they have a message

The story sounds somewhat like Chidren's story

I will say, I would not normally find the idea of demons and Hell Holes "fun". :D Nor would I typically be drawn to this book. However, your description of it as a fun little read certainly makes me curious.

Thanks for the review! This is my first time reading one of your reviews, but I like your style! Looking forward to reading more. This book isn't for me, but I appreciate how the author perceived the lead female Dr. It's always nice to read a book where woman are listed as equals. Especially in high professions.

I found the premise of this book to be wonderful, however, I felt both it and you were very sexists. The woman gets called doctor but the man doesn't. They both worked for their title and so both deserve to be called by it, or neither. Apart from that great review.

I think I've heard about the first book in this series because the plot sounds familiar. Since the book includes demons and not aliens, I'll check it out, but maybe I'll check out the first book in the series first. Great job on the review!

The reminisce of demons coming out of holes for an invasion is not my cup of tea. Good thing there's no sign of gender-related discrimination in the book, though. Thanks for the review!
