The reviewer's high positivity towards this book caught my attention. Conor Archer with his extraordinary hidden abilities and the warfare between the flesh and spirit was the highlight for me. Thanks for the honest review. Congrats on the BOTD!

Based on the review, it looks to be a good novel. My kind of book. But to say that early takes the fun away. "Roan" I wished I had a chance to review.
Hope to read.

What a great review! I feel compelled to read this epic fantasy novel. I love the fact that it’s not only a coming-of-age tale about a boy caught between making his own way and evolving into his destiny, but it is also a tale of the battle between good and evil, and what I means to be human.

The story sounds immensely captivating, and I am still wondering how Conor will handle the dilemma between choosing his own path and following his fate. Thanks for the informative review.

Thank you for the thorough review.
I love the concept of combining a variety of myths from different cultures. I also enjoy fast paced books. I may have to check this one out since books that stay with you after reading are rare!

The Urban fantasy genre seem deep to understand but the way your review is, it sounds like an easy reading one could pull off. Also, the fact that a teen can make such discovery about his bloodline and become a legend at such age makes the book sound like an interesting one.

Roan sounds like an interesting and fun deep waters to swim...
Intelligent review I must say! :techie-reference:

I love reading about 'Christian traditions, Celtic myths, and Native American folklore' in one book. ER Barr is definitely one of the better new writers I've ever met. Sounds like a book worth checking out.

This is an urban, epic and dark fantasy. The story Roan is a coming-of-age tale about a boy caught between making his own way and evolving into a destiny that was spoken over him thousands of years before his birth. It is convergence of Christian tradition, Celtic myth, and Native American folklore. A very interesting book and a good book review. Congratulations on the BOTD!

I love fantasy novels, although I haven't had much experience with the urban subgenre. Anyway, based on this review, I feel Roan rocks the fantasy world, urban or otherwise. It is indeed an arresting narration! Congrats on the BOTD.

Since I'm not a big fan of fantasy novels, I shall be recommending this book to my friends who love this type of story involving the lead trying to discover more about his bloodline. Thanks for a great review.

Conor Archer discovers the truth about his bloodline and is even a part of the town's mythology. He is supposed to be a warrior of light and if he can't accept that then he will turn out to be the harbinger of darkness. I would like to read this book. Congratulations on BOTD!
