The prophecies aren’t complete, however, and if Conor can’t accept his place as a warrior of Light, then he is destined to be the harbinger of Darkness.
Oh dear... talk about a world altering, mind bending coming of age! Poor kid! LOL

Thanks for your review! You really sold the book to me! I'm happy to hear that the author took time out to adequately story build. It's annyoying when fantasy novels are vague about the rules of the fantasy world or contradict themselves.

I like fantasy and mystery based stories. Based on this review it appears the reader is able to connect and be drawn into the story. This book looks like the type of book I would enjoy to read. I am interested in learning more about this mysterious place Roan finds himself in. It also seems to indicate a possibility of becoming a book series which would be nice to follow.

It's difficult to find great new authors these days, especially in the fantasy genre. A lot of times I run across a book without well thought out characters or a world that doesn't seem fully developed, so I'm glad this one doesn't seem to have that problem. Thank you for the amazing review, I'll definitely have to check this one out!

The author uses explosive imaginatination to capture the reader's attention. Just the few pages I read, I enjoyed. Not saying that I'm completely ready for this genre.

This is quite a review. I love fantasy, but agree that urban fantasy can be difficult to pull off well. I am really intrigued by the "convergence of Christian tradition, Celtic myth, and Native American folklore". I will definitely be adding this one to the bookshelves! Thanks for an engaging review!

I was wondering if I should pick this book up or not, I’ve read a lot of this fantasy coming of age books full of dragons to slay and princesses to save . Your review intrigued me though so I’m about to start Roan and I’m even looking forward to that sentence starting with verb thing - something different

Thanks for the excellent review, I personally love fantasy and magical novel and for you to say you are anticipating a sequel to this novel I guess it'll be worth reading.

Currently, I have read only a little bit of the sample. While this sounds like a very interesting book, I will have to revisit it in the future. Mythology really intrigues me for sure.

Fantasy novels are never my first choice, but I love character-driven stories, and I don’t mind a little magic. Great review! Thanks.
