I'm not sure if this is a book I want to read. Perhaps I might change my mind. It does look good.

I agree. The world building and character development are superb. I can get lost in this book, and I mean that in a good way. I enjoyed reading your review and opinions on this book. Great review!

Through the merging of several different genres and placing historical events with mythological lore the author creates an astonishing novel, thereby building a world that the reader wants to journey through for the duration of the book. In the development of relatable characters and events to the refreshing voice on the fantasy spectrum, this fiction provides a creative take on the supernatural. The maturing of the main character through the processing of his new reality presents an equal journey for the reader as much as for the principal himself. Overall, these factors present a well-formed perspective on this form of storytelling.

I like fantasy, but there's so many out there to choose from. This one seems good, but I'm kind of on the fence about it. It's going in the maybe pile.

Great review. Looks like the author has done a commendable job. Though I'm not very excited about the story, I may try this for the author's writing. Thanks for the review.

Thank you for the review. Undoubtedly, it sounds like an interesting urban fantasy story about a young man struggling between fulfilling his destiny and forging his own path. Maybe if it was a little less "magical" or shorter I would consider reading it.

This one actually seems interesting...a fantasy story that feels like it's not falling back on the standard tropes. The idea of finding one's roots is interesting to me as I've dug into mine a few years ago...and I can certainly relate to finding the...unexpected...

Secrets in the family. Secrets in their history. How exciting. I love it when people dig into their background. Usually it’s unexpected and fascinating. I’ll add this book to my to read list.

Thanks for the review. It looks like the reviewer has thoroughly enjoyed reading Roan: The Tales of Conor Archer by E. R. Barr, a new author. This novel contains almost all the qualities a reader may look for in a fantasy novel. The novel includes a suspenseful story. The characters are superbly developed, and they make the story extremely engaging. The reviewer recommends the novel to all, as she feels this is a novel one must read.

I was tempted to put this book in the "not interested" shelf but you made me change my mind, too many things in one story, warriors of light, Celtic myth, prophecies... One for the next to read pile.
Thanks
