Apart from the differences of characterization in the main character I think I might enjoy this book. The review was so well wrote that I am hooked on just the description you have given. And its a new twist in a semi-old concept I mean, come on, in what other story have you read where the queen herself was a trained assassin with magical abilities. Totally cool concept. Just wish she would have stuck with her reputation instead of letting people see a young and naïve queen. Thanks for the review, got this one on my want to read shelf now.

The title of the book is what pulled me in. It sounds so mysterious.

While it also aggravates me when seemingly "strong females" are easily misled by males, the rest of the book sounds intriguing. It mixes fantasy and action together creating an entertaining plot. Thanks for the lovely review.

While I like the cover, dystopian fantasy is not my preferred genre. I will give this a miss.

This sounds like a mystery and a fantasy book . The fact that it has a series makes it more exciting you will never know what might come . Beautiful review

This book seems to have a lot of fantasy aspects. I was really interested in the Queen of Crimson at first. She seemed to be a strong and powerful protagonist. But it's sad when a character with such great potential has those fails in her character. Because of this, I don't know if I'm going to read it. Character consistency is pretty important to me. Thanks for the great review!

Crown of Crimson (The Afterlight Chronicles Book 1) by Rose Reid sounds like an interesting book filled with action. Unfortunately, I'm so picky about science fiction books and in that case I won't read it. However, I will recommend this book. Congratulations to the author on the BOTD. Great review!

I'm taken by this story. It's full of suspense and intrigue. Aerietta's best friend betrays her. She's captured by another tribe and has to take down this friend in exchange for her freedom. I hope Aerietta wins this chess game of mind, power and life.

This is a young-adult fantasy novel about a young queen who is trained as an assassin from childhood. This story has a strong woman main character, magic, and a little romance thrown in. Congratulations to the author for having her debut novel chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer. This is an excellent review.
