Insightful indeed. There's no doubt that this one is going in my TBR piles. Your review has put my mind in a conflicted state. 'Should I read this?' Or 'Should I read this?' ;)
Great review!

This sounds intriguing. I like the idea of four separate plotlines that twist and turn, and overlap each other. It's fun as long as the author is able to juggle them all without dropping the ball. From what you've said, he did a great job of it. I'm adding it my bookshelf. Thank you for the recommendation. 💕

I've been really drawn to dark fantasies as of late and this sounds like a great one to sink my teeth into. The characters sound so intriguing as well, always love a good flawed character. Thanks for the review!

It seems interesting, but slightly confusing to me. You say its easy to keep track of all the players in this book yet the book flies by, does it give enough details that its able to be kept straight? I also found it intriguing that you touched on the issue that its really not a good vs evil type of book but I wouldn't have stated that it was evil vs evil if it was really a question of morality because even that technically is a fight of choosing the right or wrong paths.

The author’s world building is intense. However, the author’s tension which pits evil vs more evil is not something I would want to read about. Thanks for the review.

Sounds like an adrenaline riser novel. The themes are incredible too. Unfortunately, dark fantasy novels scare me. Awesome review.

Beautiful review for a good read such as this. Historical fiction books as turning out to be my favourites. A definite must read. Did you say less evil vs more evil? That one caught my interest.

I like when authors aren't afraid to kill beloved characters because it shows that the story is more important to them. It also sounds like it was well done and in keeping with the rather violent sounding context of the world.

This world sounds so diverse and well thought out! I love a vast cast of diverse characters who challenge each other's perspectives, along with each having a unique voice, which is what it sounds like the author accomplished. I also like that the story gives its villains dimension by foiling them against each other, with the former villain turning out to be a lesser evil than the true antagonist. That's a powerful trope that I honestly enjoy more than most.
