Admittedly, I've more or less only begun to dabble in fantasy. Though I've been enjoying it so far, it might be easy for me to feel lost. So a story that isn't full of too many new concepts all at once or an influx of characters who are barely introduced sounds good for a newbie. And I'm all for fiction that contains universal truths!

I generally like fantasy novels, especially those that are set in medieval Europe and feature magical races, but the theme gets so overused every new read becomes a little less enjoyable.

Thank you for the clear-cut review. It couldn't have been easy for a team of almost complete strangers to set out on a quest to kill a 'near invulnerable' dragon. This book sounds to be a thrilling adventure ride. Thank you so much for this detailed review..I think I agree with what you have mentioned about the book falling under the paradigm of fantasy yet it doesn't introduce too many new concepts and details which might make a reader feel lost and ultimately lose interest in reading it further. The novel seems to be replete with instances of gripping page turners and interesting themes along with a tinge of humor. From your review, I can conclude that it sure is a fun-filled fantasy fiction book which isn't a drag at all.
