I really like that the two main characters not only have magic powers but are also twins and can channel that together. Good review!

This bok reminded me of the TV serial,'Twitches' I used to wach with my 7 yr old.
Ellie and Savannah are two girls not comfortable with their family. They realise they have special powers but don't fully realise it's potential. Once they meet with other, they decide to run away. After passing through shadows and farms and trees that have color changing blossoms and people with colorful hair, they finally reach the Mansion.Must read to find out what the girls have in future for them. Truly, a magical world beckons.

CataclysmicKnight wrote:Without giving anything away that isn't covered on the book's Amazon page, I can only say that the storm itself is about as awesome and mysterious as something like the smoke monster on the television show Lost, and I really hope more is discovered in a future book (or books).
I loved the smoke monster! You may have me intrigued.

Thanks, Knight, for an insightful review. I'm not a very big fan of fantasy...but if it's done well, I'll dive in. I liked the way you pointed out various flaws or problems...then we can decide for ourselves if they are something that will bother our reading enjoyment or not!

Description
A beautiful, magical world has been ravaged by a terrible storm. Homes were destroyed, families torn apart, and even the sweetest magic twisted by darkness. Even years later, the world remains damaged ...

:shock2:

Although not a lover of fantasy, I found this book quite intriguing and I agree with the review about the confusing number of characters. Also on point about the mystery and intrigue surrounding the use of magic. Review makes even a non-lover of the genre like me want to read to the end, just to see how everything unfolds.

What a story loved it from the beginning. It felt like I knew what was going to happen but not in a spoiler way. Keep on the good work

I love a nice world history based YA and fantasy book. CataclysmicKnight: The Mansion's Twins is a 3 of 4 star book has some magic in the story-line. I love your great review.

The book does sound interesting, even if I'm not much of a fantasy buff. The idea of twins entering a magic world seems very Harry-Potter-like :D
But I'm not sure of the "only these people can do it" thing you mentioned. It is quite a put off for me, but it has nothing to do with our review which is great BTW!
Anyhow 3/4 stars isn't a bad rating, I might want to rad this after all!

Thanks for the great review! I will definitely love this story because the book has female heroes and it is a fantasy story. I am also intrigued with how the author gave life to the character of Jerome the villain.

Amazing book review of both fantacy and female heroes. To me it's a super epic drama with magic world and the twin girls Who makes the book a worthy reading experience.l

This book is a great piece of fantasy, the twins represent those few up in the pecking order but with the heart to help those of us in this world that struggle.
