Fear of the Dark (NEXUS Book 6) by Ross Harrison is a science fiction book. Victoria wasn't aware that the packing of the personal medical kit she would need to save her life would become more of a reality than she anticipated. Two crew members have gone on a mission. The story first commenced with Ruby Rose's crew, a medical frigate going to the planet in the galaxy. This adventure would be a life experience for the Ruby Rose crew, as they might lose some of their crew. Their arrival on the planet began another part in this book that will leave the reader glued to the novel.

After it was believed that one of Archer's crew may be in hot water, the Star Wraith would go on a rescue mission of the Ruby Rose crew, where they would come across something that would alter the path of this story completely! Also, Victoria Silver's willingness to survive and save her crew will drive her to an extreme, as she does everything she can to save herself and some of her crew.

One interesting fact I noticed about the book was the style of names given to the Ruby Rose crew. I think this was an exquisite work from the author. This book speaks a lot about teamwork. I admire the Wraith and the Ruby Rose crew. Both crews did marvelously well in their field. Indeed, this aspect of the book was very satisfying to read. Their responsibility to ensure success in their mission also makes this book extraordinary.

This book is more like an adventure. It has scary and intriguing moments. It encompasses their experiences in the galaxy as a crew. They encountered two main difficulties in their journey: the storm and predators. Their unique adventure was quite a scene to watch. I feel the author delivered a great storyline.

One of my favorite parts in this book is where Victoria slips out of the whitish cell through her head. She had stayed long in the cell, but the thought of her other crew members being in danger provoked her to earn her freedom. The author was able to create a satisfying end that connected the dots in the plotline. The characters of Archer and Juni contributed to this excellent ending.

I found nothing negative about this book. It was an excellent read for me. I discovered a few errors while reading. The book is professionally edited and well written. I will rate Fear of the Dark (NEXUS Book 6) by Ross Harrison 4 out of 4 stars. I would love to recommend this book to those who enjoy reading science fiction and adventure stories relating to the galaxies.

Great review! I like that the lead characters, Ruby and Victoria, are women. You don't see that very often in this type of sci-fi novel.

Is this a standalone book? I notice that it says Book 6. If it is, I think that I would really like to read it. I might find the other five anyway. Thanks for the great review!

This seems like an engaging science fiction adventure, a modern take on some classic tropes of this genre. Thank you for your great review!
