Dark Matter Empire (Book 1) by Alex Zadeh is a short science fiction novel, which is the first in the series. This story is centered around Ryan, an engineer working on the design of a new military jet. One night, as Ryan was deep at work, he lost track of time and ended up leaving work past midnight. He got into his car, and turned on the radio, but all he heard was static, yet he did not think much of it. Suddenly, all the lights went out, and the backup generators at his workstation did not kick in.

A bright light appeared in the sky, which looked like a UFO. Ryan found this to be odd, so he chose to double back and investigate. In the server room, he saw an alien creature fumbling with a device, so he shot and injured it. This device was called the alterum, which would later be a sought-after device in the universe. Ryan ran out of the building but was confronted by an alien ship, which abducted him and transported him to a different solar system. What did the aliens want with him? Will he return home safely?

What I admired most about this book was the description of events, because it created a clear image in my mind as though I was a character in the novel. I could tell that the author had done his research on science fiction since there was the use of technical physics terms, which I learned a lot about. The book was also very adventurous, including descriptions of diverse solar systems and planets. This narrative felt out of this world, and I commend the author for that.

However, there were also a couple of things that I did not like. First, the descriptions of the murder were vivid, which could have been toned down a bit. Second, I would have loved to read about more than one human character. I give this book a rating of four out of four stars. The book seemed professionally edited since I did not find any errors. It deserves a perfect rating because it would appeal to a diverse pool of readers, and it is captivating throughout.

In conclusion, I believe this to be an exceptional read that is suitable for a mature audience. I would recommend it to lovers of science fiction and fantasy novels. I would also recommend it to readers who are looking for an adventure and action-filled novel that will keep them at the edge of their seats. However, this book is not suitable for readers who are appalled by vivid descriptions of killings.

Sounds like an intriguing mystery. I'm hopeful the author will introduce more human characters further down the line since it's a series. Thanks for the review.

First, the book cover is enticing. Second, the plot is interesting. The summary of the book is encouraging and excited me. I also like how descriptive it is. Just that, I might not read it now because of workloads I have at the moment.

I enjoy clear descriptions but not for killing scenes, though. But in general, the book looks really great. Wonderful review.
