I hope I can wish for both? If yes, I wish she finds her brother and hides the artifact well enough. Thanks for the insightful review and recommendation.

I love to get in on the beginning of a series and this sounds like a good one. Thanks for the review!

Adella’s characteristics perhaps really nerving, but the author constructed her role by purpose. Thanks for your honest and explicit review that made me gave this book a go.

Thank you. You could check out the sample, and get a feel of it. Maybe that would help.

Thank you for an excellent review!

Oh I agree. I like how this is a bit mellow and easier for newer readers. Thank you :)

I also think the author did a great job devising an entire civilization. Few authors possess the qualities needed for such a thing.

Thanks for your informative review. Looks like Adella's character will have a lot of room for development as the story progresses.

Because of the slow start and how Adella seems to be immature at the beginning, I'd be hesitant to read the book. It seems like it go better and I'm wondering how far into the book were you before it started to pick up? Also did you find that this book stood alone or does it require the next book in the series to be complete? Thank you for the informative review.

Thank you! I believe this can be read as a stand-alone. Although, the book does end with the promise of a sequel. I do not think it's necessary to read the sequel unless you are absolutely devoted to certain characters or if you want to know what happens next. Personally, I feel satisfied with the ending.
Also, I understand why a person would be hesitant. Liking a character is very important to me, but in a way, I am glad I pulled through this book.
