Perhaps the author was trying to instill the message that what scientists predict about global warming is as set in stone as the seer's visions and that's why every event foretold played out as predicted? While I like the overall premise of the book, I don't think I would enjoy it since there isn't a lot of character development. Thanks for an honest review!

This sci-fi story's plot seems to have intriguing elements at its core and the depiction of finding a new planet for humanity sounds amazing.

The premise is quite intriguing. The story takes place at a time of humanity’s final days on Earth. They plan to colonize another planet which is far different from Earth. How will humanity survive?

I'm not a big sci-fi fan but I appreciate the honesty in your review, you explained very accurately the era in which it takes place and the triggering event of this colony on the Maguellan II fleeing far from Earth.

It's interesting when a science fiction novel tackles historical events of the past to ground a future, reading the author's vision of how a civilization would survive far from what it knows must be really captivating

This sci-fi novel tells of a dying Earth and the race to colonize a far-off planet to save mankind. This sounds like an exciting story. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Nice review! Thanks to the reviewer.

Wow! That was an excellent fiction writing, but my observation is that without proper preparation there will be no victory

The unique characters pique the readers' interest. Having lived through the Second World War, they already have experienced violence and destruction of the places they love. I enjoyed your description of the mounting suspense and the urgency to get the ship on its way. Great writing!

Climate change on the planet Earth and its effects on the future of this our home planet has remained a warning not taken seriously by most governments around the world today. I'm happy that this books allows its readers to learn how dreadful climate change effects can be to humanity. I would want to escape the mundane and deep myself into the technology leading a team of colonists (aboard Magellan II) to a reptile-infested planet. Thanks for the free copy today. Congrats on the BOTD!

I love science fiction books, but this one didn't catch my eye because of the lack of suspense and because its fantasy aspect didn't interest me too. Congrats on BOTD to the author! Thanks for the review!

A well explained review after all, the book sounds intriguing specially with the involvement of multi-family efforts to do such a daunting task of leaving the earth alive.

Tobin Marks writes about the earth becoming uninhabitable and it’s plans to colonize another planet in a far away universe. The story begins at the end of WWII and involves a Russian family and a Japanese family who both contribute greatly to the success of the mission. Thanks for the thoughtful
review.

Global warming and the end of the world showing science fiction novel. It's interesting because it show the situation right now. The world will destroy all living things but some will left surviving from this situation. I like your review because you show the points of the overall book.

I prefer character centered books, and this one seems to be more focused on events instead. While this is not my cup of tea, your review is honest and quite insightful.

The first thing I noticed was the book cover and it looks like the main character from Game of Thrones. I'm not a huge fan of these books with concepts of magic, dragons, and things in that realm.
