We are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies is the first entry in the series “ We are Voulhire”. The main character of the story, Galen has come from the lands of the princes. Ruled by a powerful ruler, Emperor of lullabies, it is in a great war between the sons of this Emperor.
Galen now has an opportunity to escape from this war torn land. He is optimistic about it as he is headed far away from this place that has caused nothing but pain to him since his childhood. Galen reaches his destination in the kingdom of Voulhire. He is shocked to find such a peaceful place with an eye-catching beauty. This is a nation that has its own history unlike his where there is only war. Rowan becomes an important person to Galen as he helps him to know more about this Kingdom
This kingdom has various towns and cities such as, Soulhire, Virko, Yamon Soul, Hillport, Magnum Caelum and many others. Soulhire being the home of the king; Virko is an industrialized town and Yamon Soul being the holy city. There are mages who get their power from the magic world and cosmites whose power comes from the physical universe. Voulhire, successful as it is, has great enemies who would like to see their downfall. These are the Riva Rohavi.
The introductory book is great indicating the beginning of a wonderful series to come. The author was able to describe people and places vividly. The plot itself is not hard as there is a map of this kingdom. What I liked about the book is the presence of mages who wield magic showing that action is to be expected making it enjoyable. Nothing made the book boring, however, it was interesting enough to keep you hooked.
The book does not have any errors, therefore I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. There are only few borderline profanities. Erotic content is not present in the book. Numbering of the book should be considered for easy tracking. It was a nice book and I look forward for the next book.
