I love both scifi and fantasy; it's hard to decide which one I like more. Probably fantasy because it's easier to get into the story of a world that is usually more familiar. I certainly enjoy a good scifi though too.

I'm a huge high fantasy fan. I love Middle-Earth and epic, mythical tales like that. As for science fiction, I'm also more of a science fantasy guy--more into things like Stars Wars than Star Trek, even if I do love Star Trek.

Sci fi and fantasy books are my absolute favorite kind of books to read. It's soemthing about elves, dwarves, goblins, and hobbits that just gets me.

I enjoy all types of fantasy and a little sci-fi.

I love understanding the mechanics of magic systems and reading about battles involving strategic magic use. I believe this is called 'hard fantasy' or 'magic realism'.

Urban fantasy is definitely my favorite genre. If the book/series has magick, vampires, witches, werewolves, steampunk, elves, druids, mages or sorcerers, I'm all over it.

If it has vampires, werewolves, and witches, I'm in. I love anything with those three elements in it, perferably all three together. :evil2:

Totoro wrote: 18 Sep 2013, 10:32 I also love these types of stories. Who are some of your favorite authors? I am always on the lookout for someone I have missed.
One of my favorite books, which for some reason I cannot even locate on this book club site, is by B.V. Larson titled Swarm. This is prehaps one of the top five books I have read in all time. I hope it is added to the site. I put it in my shelves with a blank generic cover, it is a sad thing...
But Read and Enjoy!!!

I love fantasy. Right now I'm reading Obsidian Son, so far it has a little bit of everything.

I love the Fantasy/Sci-Fi genre. I know some people think you are supposed to grow out of liking this genre, but I dont think I ever will.
