This is quite an interesting idea for a fantasy story. However, I will probably pass on it because of the issues with the writing. Thanks for your honest review!

So sorry to see the book can get confusing. I might have been interested in reading it, but English is not my first language, and I often find myself lost in these types of situations.

This seems like a really good book! I like the fact that the author creates a new world, yet he sets New York as a starting point for the story. Great review!

I do enjoy these kinds of stories, but based one this particular review it may fall short of my expectations in a good book. Only way for me to find out is to immerse myself into the the world the book offers.
