[Following is a volunteer review of "We are Voulhire: Someone Else's End" by Matthew Tysz.]
[rbc=4]id373765-125[/rbc]We are Voulhire: Some Else's End, is the third book in the series; We are Voulhire written by Mathew Tysz. Just when it seems like Galen is finally going to concentrate on blacksmithing, and have a settled life in Magnum Caelum, his desire to do right by others prompts him to make yet another trip. Unable to bear Demetrius's moodiness, and self-loathing owing to the role he played in the situation in Virko.
Galen suggests a trip to Soulhire to see the king, and inform him of the state of affairs in Virko. His suggestion is well-received by Demetrius, but Rowan, not so much.

Rowan is the only one with ties and connections in Soulhire that will lead them to the king. Sensing Rowan's reluctance, Demetrius prods him for information about his past, and true to his suspicions Rowan doesn't want to talk about it.
What does he have to hide? What's his motive towards Galen?

The Ravi Rohavi army is getting stronger, and so is their resolve to destroy Voulhire - with Nartik as the king, there is no stopping them. Their attack on Alcovia is foiled by Kayden and his army of demons. Will this deter them or fuel an already engulfing fire?

I love how multi-faceted the characters are, just when you think you know them well, they reveal another side to them that has you wondering if it's the same person. It's like an unveiling that never ends. I can't get over Mathew's character development; he has an ingenious way of dropping subtle hints that there is more to a character than they are letting on.

My least favorite part of the book is how Sod, the demon died, it wasn't convincing. Galen struck him with a holy knife, and yet he lived, it seems incredulous that an arrow to the eye would kill him.

Though I spotted a few errors mostly in the form of missing words, they weren't enough to be a distraction, and certainly not enough for me to rate the book anything lower than a 4 out of 4 stars. I can tell it was professionally edited. As a lover of horror stories, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I believe it will appeal to fans of horror stories as well. If you can't stand graphic depiction of brutality, you might want to sit this one out. Additionally, being the third novel in the series, this book doesn't standalone. For easier comprehension, I will recommend you read the first two before this one.
