We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies is an extremely majestic novel written by Matthew Tysz.
On the outskirts of Voulhire there was a place called Lullabies which was ruled by a powerful magician commonly known as the emperor of lullabies. He had four sons who very much wanted the throne for themselves. In order to prevent them from fighting each other the emperor gave them their own place to rule called the land of princes but that didn’t put an end to the fights. Near the land of princes, there was a place called Voulhire whose capital was Soulhire. It was founded by Lord Idus. A new king was recently crowned. His name was Wilhelm Alcoro. Along that, Lord High Chancellor Midius Maido became Voulhire’s first knight. A place called Hillport, which was a city in Voulhire, had been going through loads of difficulties; being ruled by evil lords Meldorath and Orlin. The new king sent Lord Idus to put an end to the misery of his people.
Amid the chaos in the Land of Princes, there survived a broken but strong boy named Galen Bray. When his great uncle died, he became the sole inheritor of his blaksmith company, Onita Steel, in Magnum Caelum. With the help of Herr Mayor and Rowan, Galen managed to survive his hectic life and enjoy a new beginning in Voulhire. He started learning all about the skills of a blacksmith and of course about Voulhire’s history. As time passed, things started to get out of hand. Little did the people know that a new evil was starting to arise that could destroy the fate of this country. Will Hillport become the stable state it was once before. Will Voulhire survive the danger?
This is a miraculous story set in a wonderful new imaginary world. The best part of the story was the curiosity dooming upon every page and the light humor. The thing that stroked me the most was the ability of a young boy to survive the dangerous paths he was going through and learn to lead a healthy and prosperous life in a brand new world. That made Galen, by far, the most liking character. Also, Rowan and Demetrius played a great part in the story, bringing smiles to the faces of the sad ones. I don’t think there was a part of the story which I liked least. It is an amazing story and must be read worldwide.
I also liked the plot of the story along with the simple words used by the author to make the story really interesting. The way the book characters worked their ways around the story was also much fun to read. I enjoyed a lot while reading the book and I am sure that others would have as much joy as I had. The further books of this series must be read too as they are as interesting as this one.
I'd say that the book deserves an excellent rating so I give it 4 out of 4 stars. It was exceptionally well edited, best written and fault proof. People who read novels about gods and magic would love this book very much. I personally feel that this book is a huge success and I give it a thumbs up.
