A science fantasy about a saccubus seems to be interesting.

Thank you for the great review.

Thank you for your review! You have convinced me, I am definitely going to read this. I'm glad that there's nothing you didn't like about the book except the taboo scenes. Thank you for warning us. I will have to mentally prepare myself for the child abuse. But I have been waiting for a story with a succubus. Sounds enthralling!

I'm really curious about the book now. This book seems to have a lot of everything. It sounds like this is full of triggers for me but I'm going to try. I like the writing and I hope the storyline will carry me through.

Great review and Thank You!

An absorbing story filled with demons, suspense, romance, and magic! It also has well-developed characters and is well edited. I don't think it's for me as this is not my genre, but I got my free copy! Fans of fantasy novels will enjoy it! Thank you for the detailed review!

House of pain truly sounds like an outstanding book, one that's most certainly up my alley. I love the themes that are being addressed and although I may not like the depiction of taboo scenes, I believe it wouldn't make the book as amazing as it is without them. Thank you for the amazing review.

I like that at the end of the review it was suggested that it is a dark and sexual novel which is inappropriate for some readers. But the story got my attention and i am looking forward to reading it. Good review.

From your review, this book surely is not for the faint-hearted. Scenes with sexual content and child abuse are sensitive and should be approached cautiously. I believe that lovers of this genre will enjoy reading it. Thanks for the cautious review!

Thanks for the great review! I am not a fan of sci-fi fantasy, and I am definitely not a fan of sexually explicit books. You also mentioned the book has magic and demons in it - not for me! I am glad you included that information in your review to help readers decide if it would be a book they wanted to read or not!

A novel classified as science fiction/fantasy, but rather tends to be a dark erotic novel. It seems to deal with issues of abuse and sexual burden in a disturbing way. Excellent review!

A nice science fiction fantasy story with a dark erotica essence is presented in the book "House of Pain" by Denna Holm. The story focuses on Magdalena, who is a succubus, and is on a quest to find her true love. This book appears to be quite entertaining.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

The book sounds interesting and exciting, the plot is intense and captivating. The sexual content of the book does not faze me so I will gladly put it on my To Read List. It will interesting to find out whether Maggie and Daniel finally get what their souls crave. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!
