We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Mathew Tysz can brings us into his original world full of adventures and opportunities. I like the fact that the protagonist is an ordinary immigrant who encounters a new reality arriving at Magnum Caelum, but he is filled with hopes for a better future. Galen tries to fit into the new environment by making friends with Rowan and trying to successfully manage his inheritance. Rowan helps Galen by being a loyal friend that teaches him how to adapt to his new home and advises him on various issues.

The king and his people are united and religious, they pray together for a better future. The king listens to his subjects and tries to answer their questions and help them if possible. He looks good, fair and has a good relationship with his vassals. His counselor has a lot of power, which can lead to conflict if he decides to oppose the king openly. Midius, the first knight is very corrupt person and he love to torment people.

Lord Eldus is an honest and good man, he strives to be a good father and to help people in need. I like that, he does not judge people who are different, but tries to understand and accept them. His wife understood people, especially the poor, and they had a way of recognizing this. Meldorath is a very strong, dangerous and evil mage that everyone is afraid of.

The book has some fun moments, sometimes at the expense of someone else, but it's just a story, the author has a unique sense of humor. The story is fascinating and compelling, the characters evolve and grow with her. Places and events are well described, the dialogues are interesting and unpredictable. Each chapter is seen through the eyes of one of the characters, presents his impressions, feelings and relevant conclusions. There are quite unexpected twists that change the perspective of the story. In the book we can find very important lessons about life and the choices we make.

In conclusion, I am rating We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies 4 out of 4 stars. I gave 4 stars because the book is well-written. It is professionally edited. The structure of the book with its well-described scenes makes it an easy read. The book is suitable for readers who like fiction, adventure and mystery.
