Samisah wrote: 01 Jun 2020, 11:31 The book gives a fiction version of the biblical story of the book of Genesis. It is well written and has a lot to offer. However, readers must understand that it is the author's perspectives that were given in the book.
So I guess i wanted wanted to ask those who have read the book if there are narratives they didn't like or felt out of place. If yes, how would you have rather written it?
I didn't like that Eva married Cain. It just felt so wrong. I would have preferred that Cain married one of his sister's who was not as closely connected to Abel as Eva. It felt so unjust given the fact that he was already spared a lot after killing his brother.

I loved the author's perspective to say the least. However, there are some things I would have loved to see differently. Topmost on that list is Cain. Though in the Bible I didn't see any record of Cain being saved, this book portrayed Cain's remorse. He was already on the right path and I would have loved it if he had chosen differently.

I would change nothing about the book. I like the author's narrative of the story

It wouldn't change anything. It only broadens my understanding of the true story.

I don't like how the author mixed the truth of the Bible with his imaginations. I think he did to a huge extent cross his lines. For those who are not so conversant with the bible would just pick up the author's imagination as what the Bible is truly saying.

I don't think there was anything out of place in this book. This book is okay just as the author left it.

I would have loved for the fiction in the book to be reduced and also the exaggerations.

My online little complain comes from the Godhead unison and relations. God seem to make mistakes and often regrets. I would also expect the reasoning to be higher than that of man, supernatural.

All the issues I have with the book are based on its inaccuracies when compared with the original Bible story but it is a work of fiction so I probably wouldn't really change much about it.

My thoughts exactly, I feel like this is a disruption of a sacred book. I think the author would have written his own book, maybe bring in some things from the Bible.

I think the book is good. I might just work on the contradictions and anachronisms.

I wouldn't change a thing when it comes to the creative liberties the author took. I think they were intuitive and thoughtful. I would have preferred it if the story had focused on Adam, Even, and their family. I couldn't help but feel there was unexplored potential there.

I know my Bible and i did not take anything about this book very personal. It was indeed beautiful to read about what someone else actually thing about the stories in the bible. I just read this book for fun and nothing serious.

The only thing which I could change is the cover of the book. Although it is not overly out of place, other than that everything else is on point 🌱🌼
