I am sorry to hear about your and Sahani's sad stories; I have my own to tell. Ah, misery loves company, no?
Thanks for your supportive comment. Maddy was portrayed as particularly vulnerable to this kind of thing because of the recent breakdown of her marriage, but it is quite common - sorry you had a bad experience too!

I don't remember what this is called, where a woman is attracted to a flawed person mostly because she believes she can heal him with love. I guess this book described something akin to that. I am not sure I would like the book, but I enjoyed the review! Thanks!

Loved your review :)

I am very happy with the lessons the book has to offer, it is sad that someone had to go through this and people still do to this day. I hope readers will learn from this story. Great review.

Despite the errors, this sounds intriguing. I think it's easy to blame the victim. She should have known better. That's just not always the case. Perhaps this will she's some light on the scene. Thanks.

Even though the premise is a but overdone (the prince is more like a prince of hell), it sounds interesting. I'll probably give this one a try and overlook the editing. Thanks for the review!

I wonder what Kiri has hiding in the closet. It irks me when someone gets abusive and they have excuses for it. Human beings are not emotional or physical punching bags. It just isn't right. I like the review, it's detailed and captures a lot.

This is such a lovely review! I'm sorry to hear about your own experiences; still, the author is brave to write her story down like that - it is really inspiring. I'm definitely placing this on my to-read list. Thanks, ButterscotchCherrie! (:

The narrative is coloured with the wisdom of hindsight, yet she tells it in a way that shows compassion for her past self. Thanks for reading and commenting.

The editing is quite easy to overlook as some parts were fine. It is quite extreme ... but not untrue, sadly. I'd be interested to know what you think if you do read it.
