I'm left wondering about what has happened to Luciana and how it has affected her her whole life.

I'm little pit off by the cover as it looks creepy, bit if I can at past that (maybe but the ebook), I would be interested in reading this psychological thriller.
You know you’ve read a good book when you turn the last page and feel a little as if you have lost a friend.

Luciana's experiences grab the interest. I have to admit, seeing the doll invokes very different images. I'm glad this was not a horror story! This seems like a great read. Thanks for the interesting review.

As much as I love American horror stories with white characters, it's nice to also read about horror stories with Hispanic characters. I feel like I can relate to the characters more since I too am Hispanic. I especially love that the cucuy is mentioned, as that is a very popular Hispanic mythological monster that is well known throughout oral history in the Hispanic community. I'm definitely looking forward to reading this when I have time, since you gave it 4 out of 4 stars and the plot seems interesting. Thanks!

Thank you Alicia. I enjoyed learning more about the Hispanic culture. I live near the same region with a large Hispanic community where the author is from and where much of the story takes place. I'd never heard of the cucuy before I read the book.

It's more mind-blowing than scary, but it definitely makes you think. Thank you, Caylie.

Your review is very interesting and draws a fine description of the novel. Having read the book myself, I have to disagree with you as far as the editing is concerned. I was so surprised at the amount of grammar errors and typos that I started doubting if the book had been edited at all.
