[Following is a volunteer review of "Pastoring is not what you think" by Elijah Oladimeji.]
[rbc=4]id340105-125[/rbc]Religions are one of the way that a lot of people got together and share the same interest. Some of them got their life change because of it; mostly in positive part. People can adored anyone that they have a belief in. Even though nowadays, a lot of issues coming up because of this interest. Because people don't understand and forced others to like what they like. And from there, it became a global issues. But besides that, people do enjoy to learn and understand others religions, or different things in general.

Pastor Job believe in God, he's Christian. He cherish him even in his sleep; he was talking to God in his sleep and to the point when his wife can't hold it anymore. Don't want to spoil anything, but in this book, he mostly spend his time to helps people with God always by his side. Each time the problems are solve, he cherish God more and more; he also learn more lessons about life. He learn that even in the hardest time, God will be there and guide him to the safest place and help him went through the hard time.

As a book about a religion, it does a good job showing beliefs and help people understand about Christian. It also show how beliefs can actually help guide you through hard time with hope; actually only work if you try your best and believe in whoever guiding you. The main point that the author try to show the readers is that whenever and whatever you do, even in your imagination, there's someone who push you or tell you to keep going. In reality, not many people get helped, but their beliefs keep them going and tell them to go on the right path.

I rated Pastoring is not what you think by Elijah a 4 out of 4 stars. To start, I would say that there aren't many grammar errors that are obvious in this book. Also, it does a good job giving the message to the readers about what the author believes in. I'm not a Christian; plus, when I choose this book, I didn't expect it to be as good as I want myself to expect it. But as I keep reading and reading, I found myself grew more and more interesting in Christian. What make God so special for them? and How did He guide people to live a good life? That's what I questions myself about before reading. I then want to research and learn other religions as I found there are many cool facts about it. And from there, I was enjoy following along the story that the author guide me to.

For this book, I would likely to recommend it to my friends, who are teenagers like me or other people whom I want them to get to know Christian more. Through story it will be more interesting to know other things. I also want to share this to whose don't want to know about Christian. Because in this society, there are still some problems with religions that need to be solve. And maybe this book will be able to help at some points ( because I believes so). I want them to understand that in this century, you are free to have beliefs on whatever you like and should be proud of it. There's no need to have a reason on what you like and decided to live with it. So that's it for this review; no matter what religions you are, give this book a try (because I said so) and enjoy it as much as I do.
